Ebba Andersson is perhaps the world’s best skier.
And already as a 10-year-old she decided on it.
Just check out this 16(!) year old tribute from little Ebba.
Ebba Andersson has long been one of the greats of the skiing world, but had a bit of a breakthrough last season, when she became the great WC queen after dominating completely. In recent seasons, Andersson has taken enormous strides, and together with Frida Karlsson, she is now the face of the Swedish national skiing team.
The tribute to Charlotte Kalla
And it wasn’t exactly a coincidence that Ebba would be so good. The fact is that she already appeared on television for the first time as a 10-year-old, and that in connection with Charlotte Kalla having her big breakthrough. Kalla won the Tour de Ski almost sensationally, and in connection with that Andersson was interviewed by SVT.
And then Andersson told us that the big idol was Charlotte Kalla, and that her Tour de Ski performance inspired her.
– I hoped Charlotte would win. I wasn’t too worried when she was far behind in the beginning anyway. I knew that Charlotte Kalla is quite talented. And in the other competitions she has caught up quite quickly, said Ebba Andersson, 10 years old.

Ebba Andersson was then asked what she would do when she is as old as Charlotte was, and the answer is immediately powerful:
– I don’t know, but I hope I’m on the national skiing team, said Ebba.
The whole thing is of course only made more awesome by the fact that Ebba Andersson and Charlotte Kalla later became friends and teammates. Andersson hasn’t taken an overall victory in the Tour de Ski yet, but you can say that her prophecy as a 10-year-old still came true…
