Leersum – A man from Leersum who shot a neighbor more than three years ago, is on trial for murder this week. According to 56-year-old J. van de K., he shot victim Abdellah in self-defense, because he wanted to attack him and his children with a knife. “I had no choice,” he said repeatedly in court today. But according to the Public Prosecution Service, he deliberately shot the man, who lived two houses away, and then placed one of his own knives next to the victim.
