Good news: a French company has invented a tan-through swimsuit. Explanations.
It was in 2022 that Luc and Alexandra Dessauvages launched their brand, named Bikunu. Their swimwear collections cater to both men and women and include boardshorts (90 euros), bikinis and bandeaus (60 euros top, 60 euros bottom). On certified materials Oeko-Tex, the two designer-ice-s print cheerful patterns: multicolored flowers are their signature. And to make their products, available from S to XXL, the entrepreneurs have called on French workshops that employ people with disabilities.

To imagine these swimsuits like no other, Alexandra and Luc Dessauvages decided to use a technical textiles. This allows the harmful rays of the sun to be filtered out so that only the tan rays reach the skin. However, there is no question of skipping SPF 30 or 50 sunscreen when wearing a tan-through swimsuit. On the contrary, it would even be wise to apply it evenly over the whole body, otherwise you will end up with an inverted tan!
