Emotional farewell for Jeglertz: “Fantastic journey”

Stina Lennartsson testified about how the coach set a game idea and made the team one of the best in the country.

He has made 22-year-old striker Cornelia Kapocs explode. Away against Rosengård, she scored the 2–1 lead and was thus noted for her 13th goal of the season.

She now tops the shooting league.

— Right now it’s fun to play football. I have very good players around me who give me good chances. We also practice a lot of finishing and relationships between the offensive players, she says and adds:

— Besides, Andrée has meant a lot to me. We will really miss him and it was very special to play today. It’s both tactical and the way he leads our team. Even though he is leaving now, it has helped us so much as individuals and as a team that we know what he would have said in different situations. It is in the spinal cord and it has been the key to our success.

The coach himself had a hard time holding back the tears.

– It was really hard. The whole day and week has been special. It will be empty not getting to see these girls every day. At the same time, it is an enormous joy that we were able to finish in this way.

— You don’t invest in players. It is people that you invest in. This team is unique, because we make sure that everyone is well first and then we make results. In some other environments, it’s the other way around, says Jeglertz.
