The tours around Wagner founder Yevgeny Progizhin continue. He is now again in Russia, claims the dictator of Belarus.
– He is not on the territory of Belarus, says the dictator, says Aleksandr Lukashenko at a press conference.
The Wagner leader has not been seen in public since he left the Russian city of Rostov-na-Donu the night after the Wagner Group’s armed uprising.
Shortly afterwards, Lukashenko confirmed that Prigozhin had arrived in Belarus. This was part of the settlement for the Wagner group to stop their rebellion. Now he is said to have left the country again and is said to be in Saint Petersburg. Lukashenko’s claims have not been confirmed by either the Kremlin or Prigozhin himself.
Lukashenko further says that the offer to the Wagner group to station soldiers in Belarus remains and that he does not believe that the mercenaries would turn against the Belarusian state.
