Nivel bases itself on a further analysis of three large questionnaire studies, the so-called Corona Health Monitors. These are extensive studies in which the GGDs and the municipality of Utrecht, in collaboration with RIVM, questioned thousands of people about their experiences during the corona pandemic. “The indication for a suspected post-traumatic stress disorder is based on a high level of complaints measured with a suitable questionnaire. This is not the same as a clinical diagnosis, but it is certain that this group suffers from post-traumatic stress complaints to a very high degree.” explains the Utrecht research institute.
