Israel ends operation in Jenin after night of attacks

Israel’s military is withdrawing from Jenin after the biggest operation in the area in 20 years.

Attack on Gaza after rockets on Israel

During the night, five rockets were fired at southern Israel from Gaza, according to Israel. At four in the morning, the military announced that it responded by attacking targets in Gaza, according to the AP news agency.

Palestinian security sources stated that a military facility in northern Gaza belonging to Hamas was hit. No one is said to have been injured.

The country’s President Benjamin Netanyahu says the operation in Jenin, described as the largest in 20 years, is not a one-off event.

– We will continue as long as necessary to stop terrorism, he said on Tuesday.

According to the IDF, thousands of weapons, bomb-making materials and money have been seized in connection with the operation.
