The County Administrative Board works continuously to prevent forest fires in the county.
Only once have they adopted a fire ban for the entire county. It was 2018.
A fire ban is then issued
This year’s forest fires tend to go in the same direction. But no such decision has been taken yet.
– Each municipality may issue a fire ban for themselves if they wish. We only do it if we see that it is an urgent situation and then for the entire county, says Robert Svanberg.
“A controlled situation”
The rain has fallen quite a bit in the last week and it was much needed, says Svanberg.
– It has been very dry. So it’s a controlled situation right now. I think we are well prepared for what may happen this summer.
