(…) I saw that the Jumbos had worked a lot in the finale so that’s why I said to myself that doing the kilometer trick was a good idea since they were a little started.”

What a shot from Tadej Pogacar! In the sprint battle with Simon Yates and Jonas Vingegaard, the Slovenian crossed the summit of Jaizkibel in the lead before continuing his attack. The leader of the UAE formation flew alongside the yellow jersey 2022.
