During the weekend, the Ockelbo market takes off. The organizer has chosen to keep the fair open after the fatal accident at Gröna Lund.
– The safest amusement parks during the season are the ambulatory ones, because they have to be inspected in every new place they come to, says Krister Ederth, responsible for Ockelbo market.
According to funfair managers Ann-Sofie Persson and Mikael Graue, safety is the most important thing.
“Crawling under the carousel”
– We have protocols we follow, we run our daily routines. If there is something that needs to be replaced, it will be replaced, says Mikael Graue.
– We crawl under the carousel, check bolts, check that there are no cracks, adds Ann-Sofie Persson.
Visitor Ann-Sofie Englén let her children ride as the carousel is of a smaller nature.
– It is a little lower, the one at Gröna Lund was higher, she says.
