The unrest in France, which began after a 17-year-old boy was shot dead by police on Tuesday, continued overnight into Friday.
At least 100 people have been arrested during unrest in various places in the country, according to a police spokesperson.
Disturbances have been reported from several different cities during the Thursday evening and night. In the northern city of Montreuil, masked and baton-wielding people have set trash cans and vehicles on fire, reports Le Monde.
