After an initial compensation operation in the face of the degradation of services in Parisian transport which ended on April 20, Ile-de-France Mobilités is setting up a new online compensation campaign, from July 5 to August 2, 2023, for users who have been impacted by strikes in the first half of 2023. A measure that follows the contract between Ile-de-France Mobilités and Transilien SNCF Voyageurs. From now on, if the daily transport offer is below the minimum service, i.e. less than 33%, Navigo pass subscribers can obtain compensation “one-thirtieth of the Navigo monthly pass”, in other words 2.80 euros per day for a monthly pass for all areasspecifies the public transport establishment on its site. More than 2 million users are eligible for reimbursement of their ticket.
Who can get their Navigo subscription reimbursed?
To benefit from the Navigo refund due to 2023 strikes, users from Île-de-France must have one of the Navigo packages following:
- Annual Navigo (all areas)
- Navigo Month (all areas)
- Navigo Annual senior pricing
- Monthly Navigo Solidarity 75% (all areas)
- Monthly Navigo 50% discount (all areas)
- Imagine R Student
- Imagine R School
What are the conditions for getting a refund for your Navigo pass?
In order to be reimbursed, you must have purchased a monthly or annual Navigo pass between January and April 2023, during the months with strike days. You will have to justify the purchase of your package. In addition, your home, your place of work or that of your studies must be attached to a branch of the RER or transilien (subject to proof) that has been affected by the strikes. The level of transport supply must have been below 33% during these days of strikes.
To note that you can only obtain one reimbursement: either for your place of residence, or for your place of work or study.
Which lines are affected by the Navigo pass reimbursement?
In total, 10 Parisian transport lines are affected by this new Navigo pass compensation campaign. In effect, “29 branches of train lines saw, on at least one day, service below 33%, and some had more than 20 days of service below 33%.“Among them are:

- Transilien H
- Transilien J
- Transilien K
- Transilien L
- Transilien N
- Transilien P
- Transilien R
To apply for reimbursement of the Navigo pass, simply create an Île-de-France Mobilités Connect account (or log in if you already have one). The request is made online only. on the platform provided by Île-de-France Mobilités.
What are the amounts reimbursed?
The amount of the refund for the Navigo pass is calculated proportionally on the basis of the ratio between the transport offer made and the transport offer expected. Here are the different repayment amounts provided:
- For Navigo Monthly or Annual subscribers, in all areas outside Paris on lines operated by Transilien SNCF Voyageurs, who have suffered strikes for 1, 2 or 3 days: minimum refund of 10 euros
- For Navigo Monthly or Annual subscribers who have been impacted for more than 4 days: reimbursement of 2.80 euros per day of strike, plus compensation of 10 euros paid by Ile-de-France Mobilités.
- For a Navigo Monthly or Annual pass for all areas: reimbursement between €21.20 and €91.20, depending on the branch.
- Other eligible packages: proportional reimbursement amount.
Until what date can I file my Navigo reimbursement request?
Users who are eligible for Navigo reimbursement must file their claim for compensation online between July 5 and August 2, 2023 (inclusive).
