A full afternoon of events have been planned to celebrate Canada Day in Wallaceburg on Saturday.
The celebration begins at noon at the Kinsmen Community Center on Dufferin Avenue with an opening ceremony and welcome along with a cake cutting.
There will be free activities for the kids from noon to 6 pm, including glitter tattoos, face painting, the ducky pond game, bouncy castles and a Canada Day photo booth.
Event organizers, the Wallaceburg Canada Day committee and Kinsmen Club, also have booked entertainment, including Celina Bechard, who takes the stage at 12:45 pm, followed by Check 7 at 2 pm and Electric Circuit DJ at 4:30 pm
There will be vendors and food, along with a demonstration by Wallaceburg Martial Arts at 12:30 pm
Closing ceremonies will be held at 6 pm
Those attending are advised to bring a lawn chair, sunscreen and an umbrella and stay for the day.
