The brain behind Ukraine’s cyber war: Russia attacks Sweden

Sweden is being exploited by Russia in the war against Ukraine.
This is revealed by Zelenskyi’s special advisor and the architect behind Ukraine’s cyber war, Yegor Aushev, in an exclusive interview with TV4 Nyheterna.

Yegor Aushev is the mastermind behind Ukraine’s cyber war against Russia. He has been granted an exemption for a few days, and is invited to Almedalen to share his lessons.

For TV4 Nyheterna, he talks about how it went about recruiting personnel for the war that is not carried out on the ground.

– I did a search on the internet, where I said that if you don’t have a gun, if you don’t know how to shoot. Fight in the cyber world, he says.

Since then, over 1,000 volunteers have joined. It is about professional hackers in 200 different projects, sanctioned by the President of Ukraine.

Swedish IP addresses have been hacked

Yegor Aushev tells us that the Russian cyberattacks take place from many directions. He has also discovered that Swedish IP addresses have been used.

– When there were a large number of ddos attacks, we saw some IP addresses from Sweden. It is likely that IT devices connected to the Internet have been hacked and used by Russia.

DDoS attacks are a type of overload attack, which usually aims to knock out a website or server.

Yegor Aushev says that he has a list of Swedish IT units, which he will probably hand over to the Swedish authorities.

– This means that even if you do not want to fight, but do not pay attention to cyber security, someone will use your laptop to attack Ukraine. Everything can be used as a weapon, he says.
