Households increasingly cautious to borrow
The growth rate for household loans continues to slow down, new figures from Statistics Norway show.
At an annual rate, lending from so-called monetary financial institutions (including banks) grew by 1.5 percent in May. In April, the rate of increase was 1.9 percent at an annual rate.
Housing loans made up 83 percent of total lending to households and consumer loans 6 percent. Consumer loans grew by 0.8 percent.
