Update 7.1.0.3 is here – All patch notes and information

Destiny 2 is facing another downtime phase today, which is accompanied by the new update 7.2.0.3. Bungie’s support team continues to work on resolving feedback and getting the loot shooter’s servers back on the right orbit. MeinMMO tells you why you have to be patient today and for how long.

What you need to know today: In the last week there were problems with the matchmaking in Destiny 2. The error codes also increased. Last night there was an unexpected emergency maintenance, but it was short.

But there’s one thing you can’t blame the developer for: long response times. Shortly after the problem occurred, support got in touch and examined the error codes that occurred in order to then provide a solution.

It is to be hoped that the players will be spared an emergency maintenance today, because Bungie is officially only planning the routine update with version number 7.1.0.3.

June 27 maintenance update history for update 7.1.0.3.:

7:20 p.m.: We try to login. Small queue due to network traffic from increased player login rates. But Destiny is working again. Weekly reset follows.

7:10 p.m.: With a little delay, the update is now rolling out on all platforms. So for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. The file size for PC is 245 MB.

7:00 p.m.: The patch notes are already here. We’ll link them to you later in this article. A sneak peek: There are improved matchmaking times at higher skill levels.
However, the message that the servers are going back online is still pending.

5:14 p.m.: Bungie reports: Server shut down successfully. Now it’s time to wait. You can find out how long below, with the planned downtime for today.

4:00 p.m.: Background maintenance has begun. Players are already making first bets, which will take a long time to maintain today. What’s your tip?

Maintenance on 06/27 – All times to the server down

These times are important today: All of Bungie’s support messages converge on Twitter. The developer also announced the latest update on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC and posted the exact downtimes. According to current planning, you will not be able to gamble for 1 hour and 45 minutes today.

These downtimes are subject to change, however, as Destiny 2 likes to have a mind of its own. But don’t worry, MeinMMO will accompany the update as usual and will regularly update this article with the latest information from Bungie Support.

Here is the exact schedule for today’s maintenance in Destiny 2:

  • At 4:00 p.m. German time, maintenance work will start in the background on all platforms.
  • From 5:15 p.m. the servers will go offline and players will be automatically kicked from all activities.
  • Update 7.1.0.3 will be installed during this time and will then be rolled out gradually.
  • The expected login should then be possible again around 7:00 p.m., for the weekly reset.
  • The ongoing background maintenance will end at 8:00 p.m. if everything goes as planned.
  • Important: As long as the background maintenance is running, there may be connection problems in the game. In addition, queues can arise when logging in immediately after the update.

Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may also not be accessible correctly for a while, so you won’t be able to use them.

Quickly scoop out the water before the boat sinks

That brings the hotfix today: Bungie is still working on some known issues that have been reported. We give you an overview here and tell you what this list currently contains.

  • Bungie is investigating performance degradation when loading the Eververse/Store tab.
  • Particle vacuum cleaners are on the move in the Gambit, sucking in things that they shouldn’t be sucking in.
  • The Pace of Battle seasonal challenge is incorrectly showing Guardians to defeat targets anywhere in the system. However, this challenge can only be successfully completed in the Crucible, Gambit, or Vanguard Ops playlists.
  • The guns got mixed up. For example, the Crucible bounty “Strand Slayer” does not track progression towards strand primary weapon kills.
  • Attention Guardians! You can die to finishers if the enemy dies before the finisher animation is complete.
  • Progression in the Efficient Angler seasonal challenge is not consistent.
  • In the Competitive Crucible placement streak, the Leaping Overreach Sniper Rifle will not drop.
  • Saint-14 Titan Exotic Helm is not working as expected.
  • Guardians can get stuck outside of the boss arena after reviving themselves in the Spirits of the Deep dungeon.
  • Exotic Titan Head Khepri’s Horn sunburst now deals less damage when used.
  • Some players cannot give commendations. The only way to fix this currently is to enter a raid and then return to orbit until a permanent fix can be released.
  • The resilience stat provides the previous level’s damage resistance when it is a multiple of 10. 100 Resilience correctly provides the intended benefit.
  • Bungie is investigating an increase in crashes on Xbox and PlayStation 5 consoles. PC players are stable.
  • Using the Escape Artist Exotic Warlock Gloves to refresh the Arkus Sentient Soul before it is fully disabled will cause the Soul’s fire rate to decrease until it is fully disabled.
  • After focusing an Adept Trial weapon from 14 Saints, subsequent focuses will not show that the original requirement of having a 7 win Trial card is still there.
  • Spending salvage keys after a Legend salvage activity does not progress toward the Spend Salvage Key triumph.
  • Player name changes are not infinitely customizable through bungie.net. Several “Number Guardians” continue to wait here for the option to change their player name again, instead of getting the “You don’t have any name changes available” message.
  • Patch notes for maintenance 7.1.0.3 in Destiny 2

What’s in the patch notes? Bungie publishes the list of all changes for maintenance 7.1.0.3 in the form of patch notes. However, these will only appear tonight and give a complete overview of all fixed problems and improvements.

As soon as they are published, we will link them in this article, as this may change later.

Now that you know when today’s Destiny 2 downtime is happening, you can schedule the downtime into your game night. Larger activities that you might still want to tackle are therefore rather unsuitable, as there is a risk that you will still be kicked from the servers even after the maintenance.

How are you planning the evening? Are you guys done with everyone and looking at some green grass? Or are there still some things you would like to do? Like fishing a new exo fish for the last exotic season weapon? Feel free to write it to us in the comments and exchange ideas with other guardians.
