Now he opens up about his new life and the great surprise.

It has been three weeks Zlatan Ibrahimovic said goodbye to both Milan and his entire football career. At the age of 41, his playing career came to an end and it was a very emotional farewell for “Ibra”.
Zlatan’s farewell
Since then he has been retired from football and the new chapter in life surprises him a lot. Only a year ago, Zlatan admitted that he was afraid to quit because he didn’t know what awaited him after his playing career.

Now he has had to try out normal life for three weeks and opens up about what that time has been like.
– Surprisingly calm and harmonious. I didn’t think so, he says in a longer interview with the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.
– It has surprised me. I thought I would feel stressed, but it feels as calm as can be. It’s cool.

“Ibra’s” message
At the same time, speculation is growing about what Ibrahimovic will do next. The Milan supporters are more than happy to have their favorite Swede back at the club either as a player again or in a leadership role and the calls have reached all the way to Zlatan who is now saying the words that all football lovers want to hear.
– I am proud that the fans want me back in some kind of role. Milan remains in my heart, what I have been through with this club is something I will always carry with me. We’ll see what happens, it’s only been three weeks. I might make a comeback as a player, you never know. In a month I might be in the pre-season, he says with a smile to the Gazzettan.

Many have also begun to wonder if it is not time for a farewell match for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. But it is something that the 41-year-old has not thought about at all.

Juan Roman Riquelme ended his career a full nine years ago but got his farewell match these days. Zlatan also wants to give an extra thought to another legend in Paolo Maldini, who was recently forced out of Milan.
Over the weekend, Ibra just met Maldini at a Coldplay concert in Milan.
– We gave each other a big hug, but we didn’t talk much. We have a good relationship. I don’t know what happened (when he had to leave), but I feel sorry for him because he is an icon in Milan.
