It was in June Zlatan Ibrahimović, 41, announced that he had put his football boots on the shelf, after 24 years as a professional player. What will happen next for the retired legend is unclear.
In a comment to the Italian sports magazine Calciomercato says Ibrahimovic that he feels a surprising calm about his future.
Zlatan has been seen in several public contexts since he ended his career – including at the French Open and at a Coldplay concert at San Siro in Milan. There he met Milan’s former sporting director, Paolo Maldiniwho after a dispute with the club’s owner was fired.
– I have a good relationship with him, we played against him and I’m sorry we didn’t play together. But we worked together, we won. Then I don’t know what happened during all the rest. I am sad for Paolo, because he is a champion in Milan, the ex-footballer told Calciomercato.
Turned down a leadership role
According to information, Zlatan should have received an offer for a club manager role in Milan, but turned it down. However, the 41-year-old says that he is considering a possible return.
– It’s only been three weeks, but maybe I’ll come back to play, you never know. In a month I might be at a training camp with Milan.
