New NATO meeting before the summit

An agreement on the new meeting was made when Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg spoke by phone with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday.

— We agreed to call for a high-level meeting in Brussels before the summit (in Vilnius 11-12 July). The intention is to make progress towards the completion of Sweden’s entry into NATO, says Stoltenberg at a press conference in Lithuania.

The meeting will be attended by foreign ministers, intelligence chiefs and national security advisers.
