Germany may permanently station a significant force of around 4,000 soldiers in Lithuania, says German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, according to German media.
This is to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank.
However, the measure will not take place in the near future, but first the infrastructure for this must be in place, according to the minister.
