Some conversations he never forgets and others are almost banal. The phone blinks almost constantly when SVT Nyheter meets the artist Micce Rylander in his studio, an old power station in Gullrinken outside Vimmerby.
– I think 60-70 percent call because they feel bad. But you can also call me to learn how to bake a strawberry cake, and I’ve actually had to do that, says Micce Rylander.
“We all need help”
The idea came from a previous project, when he tried to meet 100 new people in 100 days. Talking on the phone with a new person every day became the seed for the project he now runs, which is called Call so we share.
– We sometimes think that the authorities will fix the world for us, but we all need help.
His project has been popular ever since he started four years ago. He believes that there is a great need among people that is not being met today.
– Sometimes you don’t want to call and ask for help because you get a kind of stamp on yourself. Then it’s good to be able to call someone who is more like a friend, says Micce Rylander.
