As an Afghan, Foruzan Bakhtiary from Veenendaal was not even allowed to go to secondary school in Iran, but she managed to win a language prize in another country on Wednesday. She won the audience share of the Taalheldenprijs in Amersfoort. This award comes from Princess Laurentien and Stichting Lezen & Schrijven and is for people who help combat low literacy in themselves or others.
