Fortnite has brought 2 new skins to the game with an update, which result from a cooperation with the shoe manufacturer Nike. One of the characters is said to look like it’s made out of the same material as Nike shoes. But the people on the internet have a very bad theory.

  • Fortnite used to be a normal shooter, but at some point the super brains in South Carolina came up with the idea that you had to be the “Metaverse” and bring all sorts of pop-culture-relevant figures into the game as skins as part of cooperations.
  • Therefore, if you want to and spend money on Fortnite, you can play Fortnite as Spider-Man, Batman or Son Goku, as a basketball player, as a stormtrooper, as a peeled banana, as anything. Epic alone brought 59 Marvel skins and 23 from Star Wars to Fortnite.
  • But now they entered into a cooperation with Nike and somehow it went too far.

    This is still the “normal” skin: One of the new skins is called “Maxxed Out Max”: This character is apparently made out of nothing but sports items.

    The poor character is made out of shoes, tennis balls, water bottles, some football pads, wears a Nike cap and wears Nike everywhere, so it’s sort of a walking billboard for Nike. He also has a basketball for a stomach – because… actually why not?

    That’s the really weird character: The “character” Ariel does not have any major accessories except for 2 bows around her hands.
