During the morning, an ambulance was called after a child under the age of two was treated with cardiopulmonary resuscitation in a residence in Jönköping County.
The child was taken to hospital but his life could not be saved. The residence has been cordoned off and the incident is being investigated as causing the death of another. An adult person was arrested and another person was suspected when the police arrived at the scene. After questioning, the other person was also arrested, suspected of causing the death of another.
– Even people from the care who were on site have been questioned as witnesses, where they told about their observations, says Johnny Gustavsson, press spokesperson at the police.
According to Gustavsson, it is too early to determine what caused the death.
– It will take quite a long time before we reach the finish line there. There is so much new data and a lot of information to be collected. Then we will see what the care comes up with after this tragic death.
