Stina Nilsson is charging for a new season as a biathlete.
At the same time, a lot is written about her private life.
Now the Swede is putting her foot down by breaking the silence about love.
Earlier this spring, a new pair of skis was announced in Sweden. The Swedish biathletes and national team colleagues Stina Nilsson and Emil Nykvist confirmed that they were a couple in connection with a trip together to Crete, Greece.
Nilsson admits
But Nilsson has since been tight-lipped after all the speculation about her private life and only now is she breaking her silence. By putting her foot down and drawing a line for what she feels comfortable talking about besides sports.
– It’s still the same answer there. I don’t feel the need for the evening papers to write about it, she says in an interview with SportExpressen and then gives her only comment.
– Of course, it is good that we are doing the same thing and can push each other in it.

Otherwise, it is a tough season that Stina has left behind while she looks forward to a new one, her fourth season as a biathlete since switching from cross-country skiing. Now she looks forward to a new winter with a great desire for revenge.
– I’m not satisfied with how the season unfolded as a whole, but there were still small gold nuggets like the EC, but all in all, I don’t think I got out what I had a feeling in advance that I would be able to get out, says she to the evening paper.

Stina’s revenge
The 29-year-old didn’t get it right at all last season and was poked from both the World Cup and WC squad after a long period of disappointment due to weak results. The Swede then found his confidence again at the beginning of 2023 in the IBU Cup, the level below the World Cup, and at the Biathlon European Championships.

Now she has to do everything to make sure it doesn’t happen again and that the next season will be so much better.
– We did a thorough evaluation last spring with Johannes (Lukas, national team coach) and I think we have been able to make good adjustments. I also think it eased up a bit after Christmas, but I didn’t come into the season in a good way last time. It’s mostly about doing the job in a good way this summer and then being even more responsive to adjustments, says Stina Nilsson in the interview.
– It is absolutely with a slight sense of revenge that I take on my summer training.
