It was on December 27 that the police were alerted to an explosion in a stairwell in southern Stockholm around 10:30 p.m. According to information to SVT, a man with connections to gang crime lived at the address.

Criminal networks
Now a man from Blekinge is wanted in custody on suspicion of probable cause for public destruction for the explosion, an event which, according to the prosecutor, is connected to criminal networks.
– He is also being detained for handling a grenade, which is a violation of the Explosive Goods Act, says Rahima Ortac, Chamber Prosecutor.
Charges are expected later this fall. According to the prosecutor, the man could receive a longer prison sentence if he is convicted.
– The value of the penalty is high and he is over 18, so no penalty discount applies.
The man is already in custody in another case concerning a serious drug crime in Blekinge.
