Heavy fall for German producer prices
Germany’s producer prices fell by 1.4 percent in May compared to the previous month. This can be compared with the price increase of 0.3 percent in April.
On an annualized basis, this means that German producer prices rose by 1 percent in May, down from an annualized increase of 4.1 percent in April.
Analysts on average had expected German producer prices to fall 0.7 percent from the previous month and rise 1.7 percent year-on-year in May, according to a compilation of forecasts by Bloomberg.
