Player creates Anego Raid alone and shows how
Again and again, trainers face very special challenges in Pokémon GO. This also includes players trying to create legendary raids on their own. So does the YouTuber MiniryuNinja, who shows in his video how he defeated Anego all by himself and with a single Pokémon.
how did he do that? In the video, you can see that he used a Primal Groudon with the Abyssal Blade charge-type attack against Anego. This therefore has a ground moveset and is therefore particularly effective against Anego.
As Reddit user TheDynamicDuoUK explains in more detail in his post on Reddit, the monster was leveled up to level 50. In addition, the weather conditions were optimal with sunny weather, since the ground attacks are intensified in this. He writes (via reddit.com): Anyone with a level 50 Proto-Groudon can defeat SOLO Anego in sunny weather – dodging is not necessary!
How do you get Primal Groudon? While other Pokémon have a mega development, you can carry out a so-called proto development with Groudon. It’s temporary and slightly stronger than the actual monster, making Primal Groudon one of the best attackers of its type.
In order to be able to trigger them for the first time, you need the appropriate proto-energy. These were part of the special research and following the proto-raids for this year’s Hoenn tour. When it will next be available in the game is currently not known.
Trainers want to try the challenge themselves

Other ways to defeat Anego alone: But there are other ways to defeat Anego alone. In the comments, players report that their Groudon had a lower level or that they also used Crypto Mamutel.
So does FrealafGB, who wrote the following on Reddit: You don’t necessarily need a 50. A 49.5 would be perfectly fine to use MiniryuNinja’s strategy. A friend has it too with a level 45 [Proto]-Groudon done, plus a level 50 Crypto Mamutel. There are quite a number of strategies to get the win.
This can be particularly worthwhile if you don’t have enough Groudon XL candies to carry out the appropriate power-ups. So it can make sense here to use an additional alternative such as Crypto Mamutel, which is also one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
