Two new promo codes are available in Pokémon GO. They’ll get you at least a few balls.
What is this code? Two new promo codes are going around in the Pokémon GO community (via reddit). You can either redeem them in-game if you’re playing on Android, or on a dedicated website (for iOS players). They are:
However, players have already noticed that you can only redeem one of the two codes, both are not possible.
What does the code do? Both codes bring you 6 PokéBalls each and seem to be active at the moment. So you should use them quickly if you want the balls, because in the past codes were also deactivated after a short time.
All current promo codes for Pokémon GO in June can be found here.
What do trainers say about the code? The codes are currently arriving in the community in rather divided form. Even if you are always happy about free items, some trainers scoff at the contents of the codes:
However, a trainer also notes that at least autocatcher users can use every ball.
Redeem promo code for Pokémon GO in iOS and Android – Here’s how it works
Android: On Android devices you can easily redeem promo codes in the shop. From there, scroll down until you find the “Promos” field.
There you enter the code and receive your items.
iOS: For devices with the iOS operating system, you have to take a small detour, because there is no corresponding field in the shop. Here you have to go to the Niantic website where codes can be entered. You can find the link here: Redeem promo code (via rewards.nianticlabs.com).
Here you have to enter your login data for Pokémon GO, but this is not possible with a pure Trainer Club account, for example. You need a linked account, either with Facebook, Google or similar.
Once you have entered the code, the items will be credited to you in the game. You can see whether it worked in the bag or in the diary, where there should be a corresponding entry.
