Starfield 2022 and 2023 graphics comparison reveals that there are noticeable drops in the game.
‘Cycu1’ from YouTube shared a graphic video comparison between the 2022 and 2023 demos of Bethesda’s upcoming AAA game Starfield. There are noticeable drops between both videos.
Noticeable drop in Starfield graphics
As can be seen, all the characters’ faces and beards look noticeably worse in the 2023 demo. In particular, the beards now look straighter. His eyes also lack detail compared to the previous video. On the other hand, Bethesda has kept the quality of the game’s environments and added a few higher quality environmental assets in some areas. There are also some artistic changes. For example, the main room at 2:00 now has a dust/haze effect.
Starfield will be released in about three months, so it seems unlikely that Bethesda will rework its characters. The images in the video offer a clear view of what the game will be like when it is released.
The game does not currently support Ray Tracing. We also don’t know if the game will support DLSS 3. Starfield will most likely be a CPU-intensive game. Therefore, DLSS 3 will significantly improve performance.
Starfield will be released for Xbox Series X and Series S and Windows on September 6, 2023.
