One Piece series on Netflix: what part of the anime does season 1 tell?
As in the manga by Eiichiro Oda and the anime series, the Netflix adaptation revolves around the young Luffy (Godoy), who wants to become the greatest pirate of all. To do this, he gathers powerful crew members such as ship’s cook Sanji (Taz Skylar) around him and sets out on the seven seas.
Skylar recently opened up about how hard he’s been training for the scenes in the Netflix adaptation and into a complete “Psycho” transformed. Even the more skeptical One Piece fans will appreciate such dedication.
As reported by Collider, among others, Season 1 of the adaptation will tell the so-called East Blue saga. The East Blue is one of the One Piece oceans where Luffy’s gang are at the beginning of the story. The saga includes 12 of the manga books and 61 episodes of the anime.
When is the new One Piece series coming to Netflix?
Netflix’s One Piece adaptation doesn’t have an exact launch date yet, but it does planned for this year. The project is produced by series veterans Steven Maeda (X-Files) and Matt Owens (Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD).
