Peder Fredricson fell over during the warm-up of the Global Champions Tour Stadium. He is now in hospital and ung horse class which was in progress is cancelled.
– He had an accident on an obstacle on the front ride, says race leader Sara Johansson to TV4 Nyheterna.
An exclamation over the loudspeakers at the Stadium announced that Fredricson was conscious when he left and that he is now in hospital where he is receiving expert care.
– We don’t know anything at the moment, answers Sara Johansson when asked about the injury situation.
TV4 News’ Sofia Ekhem is on site at the Stadium.
– I didn’t see the accident itself, but suddenly they called out that they were going to take a break and come back with more information. Then they told me that all the riders in that class chose to withdraw. After a while they told us that there was an incident on the front ride, she says.
The former world number one and Olympic medalist rode the horse Que Sera on Sunday, which, according to race leader Sara Johansson, escaped unharmed.
The afternoon’s program will be carried out as planned.
