Stratford police are investigating after a Brunswick Street resident was awoken early Tuesday morning by someone breaking into their house.
Police said the break and enter happened at a home between Nile Street and Front streets at around 4:45 am Upon arrival, officers found the suspect had left the home and fled the area. A further search of the immediate area was unsuccessful, and police confirmed they were unable to get a description of the suspect.
Items inside the home were moved and thrown around, but police said it is still unclear if anything was taken.
Stratford police are asking anyone in the area with surveillance cameras to review their footage from that morning and report any suspicious activity to police.
