Two people, one of whom is a child, have been seriously injured in a traffic accident on the E4 outside Mjölby. Another seven people have been taken to hospital. The road is closed in both directions.
A traffic accident has occurred on the E4 near Mjölby. According to the police, four passenger cars are involved and the accident must have occurred in the southbound direction.
– It is a kitchen coat, a collision from behind, which is the cause of the whole accident. A vehicle is at fault and the driver of that vehicle is currently suspected of gross negligence in traffic and causing bodily harm. That vehicle has been impounded for a technical examination, says police spokesperson Marcus Anefur to TV4.
At least two people are seriously injured. A driver and a child.
– I don’t have details on the state of the damage, but I have information that suggests that there are serious injuries to the affected people, says Marcus Anefur, who announces that they are on site with three units.
In addition, two more people are judged to be less seriously injured and five people are said to have been slightly injured. All have been taken to hospital in an ambulance.
On the spot, they had to euthanize a dog that was injured in the collision.
At the moment, the road is completely closed in both directions, according to the police.
