What an incredible career Zlatan Ibrahimovic have had which is now over. It lasted a full 24 years and spanned nine different clubs and is summed up with 32 titles over the years.

Zlatan has done the most that can be done in football and he leaves behind an incredible legacy of spectacular goals and unforgettable pieces of art. Another who has had an equally majestic career is the great pride of Swedish sports Ingemar Stenmark.

He completely dominated the alpine sport in the 70s and 80s, winning two Olympic golds and five World Championship golds during his legendary career. In addition, “Stenis” made history by winning as many as 86 World Cup victories, a record that stood for forty years.

Stenmark’s words
Many consider Stenmark to be Sweden’s foremost athlete of all time in all categories, but if you ask him himself, Tärnabysonen chooses a different name.

This tribute came several years ago, but it still rings true today, and in connection with Zlatan’s big farewell to football, it bears reminding of Stenmark’s great words to one of the giants of Swedish sports.
