Florent Manaudou signed the best world performance of the year in the 50m freestyle on Thursday June 15 during the series of the French Swimming Championships. Manaudou achieved the best time in 21 sec 56, quite far ahead of the second, Maxime Grousset (22 sec 22). The best mark of 2023 was held so far by the Briton Benjamin Proud in 21 sec 71. Manaudou had not swum so fast since the semi-finals of the Tokyo Olympics (21.53).
