    The police moved out after an alarm about a suspicious shooting in Skara, write Gothenburg Post.

    – We have an address that was exposed to shelling at midnight, says Martin Hallberg, duty officer at the police in the West to Aftonbladet.

    A preliminary investigation into serious weapons crime has been launched and the police have several resources working in the area.

    – We will release more information about this in the morning, says Martin Hallberg.

    No one is reported to have been injured in the incident and no one has been arrested.

  • Detonation at restaurant

    A loud bang was heard over Hässleholm during the night to Friday.

    – We have just landed at the scene and it seems that there is a detonation at the entrance to a restaurant, says Jerker Olsson, officer on duty at the Skåne police region.

    The National Bomb Squad and forensics have been called to the scene.

    The first calls to 112 came in at 00.53 and after that they received “a lot of calls”.

    There are no reports of personal injuries.

  • New report: More farmers register animals for slaughter

    A new report from the Swedish Agricultural Agency shows that more and more farmers have registered animals for slaughter, reports Swedens radio.

    Due to drought and lack of pasture and silage, premature slaughter is being prepared.

    – The farmers have already done a consequence assessment and based on it, more animals have been registered for slaughter, says the Swedish Agency for Agriculture’s investigator Bengt Jonsson to the radio.

    At least 15 people have died after a traffic accident in Canada on Thursday evening, AFP reports.

    The accident occurred on the Trans-Canada Highway near the town of Carberry.

    According to local media, a truck and a bus for disabled passengers were involved in the accident.

    On Wednesday, two climate activists attacked a painting by Monet at the National Museum in Stockholm.

    The activists glued themselves and put red handprints on the protective glass – however, the painting survived without damage.

    Now culture minister Parisa Liljestrand (M) rages against the activists and the action in a post on Instagram.

    “It makes me so incredibly angry and provoked that some people take the right to indulge in priceless art and culture,” she writes and continues:

    “Vandalism, vandalism or other criminal acts against art can never be justified, no matter for what purpose, and will not be accepted.”

    Climate activists from the group Restore Wetlands has taken on the attack. They are now suspected of serious damage.

  • Terrain fire in Vislanda – train traffic is stopped

    At 9 p.m., the emergency services were alerted to a wildfire just outside Vislanda in Alvesta municipality.

    The fire has spread near the railway and is causing stoppages in train traffic, reports P4 Kronoberg.

    New government ready in Finland

    After more than six weeks of negotiations, Finland’s cabinet maker Petteri Orpo has announced that the government program is ready, reports Swedish EPN.

    On Friday afternoon, Orpo, who is the leader of the Samlingspartiet, will present the new government program.

    The government will consist of the Collection Party, the True Finns, the Swedish People’s Party and the Christian Democrats.

    The newspaper Iltalehti writes that one point in the program is to change the alcohol law to allow stores to sell stronger alcohol.

    “Ministries must carry out an investigation into the liberalization of the sale of 15 percent strong wines,” writes IL.

    An earthquake has struck the island of Tonga in the Pacific Ocean, AFP.

    The earthquake had a magnitude of 7.2, according to the United States Geological Survey, USGS.

    No tsunami warnings have been issued in the area.

    The police have been alerted to a collision between a truck and an electric scooter in Färila in Ljusdal municipality on Thursday evening.

    The person on the electric scooter is said to be seriously injured and has been taken to hospital by helicopter.

    The police have opened a preliminary investigation to investigate the accident.

    The 83-year-old actor Al Pacino has become a father for the fourth time.

    This is reported by several American media on Thursday evening.

    The Godfather star confirmed through his spokesperson in May that he was expecting a child with his 29-year-old girlfriend Noor Alfallah.

    Since before, he has three children with two different women.

    There is a fire in Huddinge outside Stockholm. The emergency services are on site with five units to fight two nearby forest fires.

    – It is dry as snuff on the hill so there is definitely a risk of spreading, says Ludwig Taylor at the rescue service.

    It is unclear how the fires started. The rescue service has no forecast for when the fires may be out.

    Since Wednesday afternoon, the rescue service has also fought a large forest fire in the municipality of Ljusdal.

  • Boy beaten and robbed by gang

    At around 6 p.m., the police received an alert that three young men had chased, assaulted and robbed a lone 16-year-old boy in Virentofta in Malmö.

    According to witnesses, the boys must have taken the boy’s bag with them.

    An ambulance has been sent to the scene for control. There is no information on the state of damage.

    Later, the police were able to arrest the three boys, who are 15, 16, and 17 years old.

  • Authorities hit by global cyber attack

    Several US federal agencies have been hit by a global cyber attack, CNN reports.

    The US Agency for Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security tells the channel that it is working to map out what has happened.

    It is not yet clear who or who is behind the attack.

    Coop is recalling mixed mince from the John’s Selection brand that was sold in several stores in the country.

    The reason is that salmonella was found in the mince.

    “Norvida regrets what happened”, writes the producer Norvida in a press release.

    Furthermore, they write that the minced meat is not dangerous to health if it has been heated up to 70 degrees.

    Customers who bought the minced meat in 500 gram packaging with a best before date of 21 June 2023 are asked to return the product to a Coop store for a refund.

    The European Commission sees the Chinese telecommunications companies Huawei and ZTE as a threat to the security of the Union, TT reports.

    “The Commission considers that Huawei and ZTE in fact pose a significantly higher risk than other 5G suppliers,” the Commission writes in a statement according to the news agency.

    Hard to know. What I do know is that the trial was supposed to be held now in June, but that it was postponed at the request of the prosecutor. The prosecutor believes that the trial can be held at the end of July at the earliest. You can read more here.
