The National Museum of Immigration, Porte Dorée in Paris, is getting a makeover. After three years of work and six years of reflection around a strong scientific committee of 75 people, the permanent gallery has completely redesigned the discourse on immigration. It offers a comprehensive look at this phenomenon which has always been an integral part of French history. Its laws, its statutes, its major dates, without obscuring colonization and decolonization.
