Since the new patch in Diablo 4 they do much less damage – have there been any secret changes?

On June 14th, Diablo 4 received a new patch. It actually only brought adjustments to items and dungeons. A few players are now complaining: there were secret nerfs for all players. MyMMO checked

What’s in the patch?

Thanks to MeinMMO reader Saigun for the tip.

What the players say: In a thread in the forum, about a dozen players complain that they have done significantly less damage since the patch. Their numbers are lower, they have bigger problems in the nightmare dungeons than before.

That affects all classes, it’s a “stealth nerf” for everyone. The thread quickly turns into a complaint expressing general dissatisfaction with Blizzard and the patch policy. Constant nerfs are not the right way, they are not fun, they say.

However, no one provides verifiable evidence here. The user Aikon, for example, only claims: “I can 100% assure you that this really happened. Just spoke to a friend on Discord about how yesterday I was able to run a nightmare seal at level 50 with no problems while today I was having trouble at a 46.”

He’s playing an Ice Shard build for the Sorceress, which is currently one of the best builds for the class according to the Diablo 4 Tier List. However, he’s having trouble at level 83

Some nerfs were apparently actually necessary. Barbarians could easily kill the hardest boss in the game in minutes where others fail even after five times the time:

Were there really nerfs? That cannot be confirmed. Blizzard itself does not write anything about nerfs, there are no inquiries or confirmations on Twitter. Even on Reddit, which is known for immediately criticizing such “secret nerfs” loud and strong, there is silence.

There is only one thread there that picks up exactly the discussion from the forum, but which is hardly commented on. A few people there say: if that’s true, they’re gone. Others advise: if you want to have fun with the game, you should stay away from social media. One user laughs at the forum and scoffs, “And I thought Reddit was bad.”

It is difficult to say whether there were really nerfs, but probably not.

I also tried a few nightmare dungeons as an example and didn’t notice any differences from yesterday. However, it is inherent in dungeons that they differ greatly, even at the same level.

The affixes change with each run and can be easier or harder depending on the class. So it can happen that you rush through a “higher” dungeon while a “lower” wipes the floor with you. You can find more about this in the overview:
