Kristin JO reported Trosa municipality – which now backs down: “We apologize”

Just like in Kristin Rydberg’s case, most people in the vicinity rent the land they live on, but own their own houses. However, it is not enough to be able to borrow money with the value of the property as collateral.

Discussed VA project

The costs of around a quarter of a million, which the new VA connection may land on, is a hot topic of conversation in the neighborhood. Those who have lived in their holiday homes for a long time all year round already have water and sewage – but Trosa municipality has chosen to lay out pipes in the entire area.

The costs are causing Kristin Rydberg to consider selling her house, as are many of her neighbors. The delayed and increased VA invoice was too much for Rydberg, who therefore filed a JO notification with the municipality.

The municipality backs down

When SVT gets in touch with Trosa municipality about the notification, it doesn’t take long before a new decision is announced. New invoices calculated according to the previous VA tariff will now be sent out.

– It is regrettable that the invoice did not come out on time and we have to apologize for that, says Trosa municipality’s technical manager Ulf Hagstedt.

In the video below, Ulf Hagstedt explains why the invoice was delayed.
