Women’s moukari at 16:40

Women’s moukari is on paper the hardest of the evening’s sports, as it includes the entire top three of last year’s World Championships Brooke Andersen (United States), Camryn Rogers (Canada) and Janee’ Cash register (United States).

In May, World Championship gold medalist Andersen competed as the third woman in the 80-meter club, when she measured an arc of 80.17 meters. The result is the top result of the season.

Finns are included Silja Kosonen, Krista Tervo and Suvi Koskinen.

Finnish record holder Tervo has thrown 71.86 this season. World record holder, Poland Anita Wlodarczyk dropped out of the race at the last minute.

Men’s pole vault at 16:44

The big advance favorite in the men’s pole vault is the 23-year-old from the United States KC Lightfootwho posted the third-best score of 607 at the beginning of June.

Of the current jumpers ahead of Lightfoot in the ME statistics, there is only superior Armand Duplantis (621). The second result is Sergei Bubkan in names (614).

– I am now the man of 607, because finally I am not suffering from injuries. I’ve been injured for the past couple of years. It has been really difficult to jump off the pole and give one hundred percent of yourself when your performance is limited, Lightfoot told Urheilu on the eve of the Games.

In Turku’s evening, there are four men who ran 100 meters under ten seconds. Among the Finns, there is a man from SE Samuli Samuelsson, Viljami Kaasalainen, Valtteri Louko, Riku Illukka and Eino Vuori.

– A shockingly tough race is coming. You have to run hard to get to the finals, Samuelsson predicts on Sunday after ignoring the SE result.

Women’s 100-meter hurdles, preliminaries at 7:50 p.m., finals at 8:54 p.m.

The women’s 100-meter hurdles final will be seen as the final event. There is a tough Finnish quartet Reetta Hurske, Annimari Korte, Nooralotta Neziri and Lotta Harala.

Hurske, the reigning European indoor track champion, set a new Finnish record of 12.70 at the Jyväskylä GP last week. Korte scored 12.83 over the weekend in Espoo, which is the former SE woman’s best result in three years.

Harala has run his record this season in 13.03 and Neziri in 13.04.

The strongest name in the competition is Poland Pia Skrzyszowska, who won the EC gold in the sport last year. The woman’s record is a wild 12:51.
