Yevgeny Prigozhin has gone from being in charge of Putin’s catering to leading the private army Wagner Group participating in the war in Ukraine. In addition, lately he has made headlines with loud outbursts about the incompetence of the Russian army.
Prigozhin’s pointed criticism of the military leadership has raised eyebrows and many wonder how he gets away with the insults – and whether he has his own political ambitions.
