As of today, the official introduction date has been announced for the new Toyota C-HR, whose production adventure will continue in Turkey.
The countdown begins for the second generation C-HR, which will be one of the first steps to shed light on Toyota’s new era. The introduction date for the new Toyota C-HR, which has been on the agenda over the past year, has been announced today. In this context, a single-frame clue image from the product range, which became clear to be shown on June 26, was also shared. In this visual, which makes you feel that the design change is intense, the dominance of the backlighting character makes itself felt. With its efficient engine options, C-HR will bring the Toyota brand closer to its carbon neutral targets. As in the first generation of the model family, the second generation will be produced in the Toyota Automotive Industry Turkey factory in Sakarya.
What are the prospects for the new Toyota C-HR?
In the front design of the concept, which is shown as C-HR Prologue, lines parallel to recent Toyota cars appear. The biggest point that we will distinguish the C-HR in the second generation will be the new structure in the rear section. The rear design lines, which received great criticism from time to time in the first generation, seem to contain a much more complementary space line with the MK2. Of course, in order to say this more clearly, it is necessary to see the mass production version that will be introduced next year. As for the cockpit of the vehicle, it should be noted that no official visual has been shared for now.
With the second generation, the change of systems under the hood as well as the design will be noteworthy. In addition to the mild hybrid combination based on the 1.8-liter gasoline engine, which we have seen in many models for a long time, it will now be possible to purchase the C-HR with the PHEV package, which is adorned with a high-capacity electric motor and battery. Although no clear information is given here for now, it is highly likely that the system shaped around the 2.0-liter gasoline engine will be used in the new generation Prius.

In the Prius, a battery with a capacity of 13.6 kWh is included in the combination, which offers approximately 220 horsepower. In this way, the Prius can cover a range of close to 70 kilometers in pure electric mode, while it will not be surprising that this value increases up to 80 kilometers with the revisions to be made specifically for the C-HR. It has been announced that the battery production for the new generation of C-HR, which will continue to be produced in Turkey, will also be carried out in Europe. It is not clear yet whether the production for the battery side will be given to Turkey.
