According to a report by Deadline, the US broadcaster NBC has decided not to renew the series about Johnson’s childhood and youth. The third and final season was released in November 2022 and, according to the report, could do not achieve the expected ratings and ratings.

Young Rock traces Johnson’s journey through his childhood in the wrestling environment to his youth as an aspiring football star and wrestler. The autobiographical story is told from a fictitious present in which Johnson ran for the US presidency.

A look at Twitter shows that Johnson has not yet commented on the dismissal. There were flops more often in his career, but with Black Adam and especially Young Rock, two of his absolute passion projects have failed.
