A chain house was fired upon in Upplands Väsby north of Stockholm during the night to Monday.
The police received an alarm about the incident at 01:39.
– The family called the police because they thought they heard shots, says Sylvia Oldin, officer on duty at the Stockholm police.
– When we get to the scene, we can confirm that it is true, someone has shot at the door leading into the house. But no one has been physically harmed.
Suspected attempted murder
The police do not yet know why the family’s house was fired upon, but are investigating the incident. Among other things, they knock on doors in surrounding houses to hear if anyone witnessed the incident, sniffer dogs are on the scene and forensic experts will carry out an investigation.
– Since there were people in the house when someone shot, we have started a preliminary investigation into suspected attempted murder, says Sylvia Oldin.
No one had yet been arrested for the crime as of 4:30 a.m. Monday morning.

– It is far too early to say. But we are working on the investigation and are of course open and do not rule out any connections, says Sylvia Oldin.
