An early morning fire destroyed a home on White Swan Road in the County of Brant on Wednesday, June 7.
“It’s a total loss,” said fire chief Darren Watson of County of Brant Fire. “Damage is estimated at $700,000.”
Watson said firefighters from Cainsville, Onondaga, Mt. Pleasant, and St. George stations were dispatched at 5:45 am, along with a support vehicle from Paris.

Watson said the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
