57 million see how YouTube star Dream shows his face – now delete the video, put the mask back on

The Minecraft YouTuber Dream was the big topic on the internet in October 2022 when he showed his face for the first time after 8 years as a content creator. Now the 23-year-old American is putting on a mask again.

Who is Dream?

  • The content creator Dream has been making videos about Minecraft since 2014: it has been enormously popular since around 2019.
  • He has 31.6 million subscribers on YouTube. His videos regularly get views in the tens of millions.
  • Dream is best known for the “Manhunt” format in Minecraft, where he tries to complete Minecraft as quickly as possible without dying while other players are chasing him and trying to stop him.
  • In October 2020, Dream was embroiled in a cheating scandal in which he was accused of not being fairly scored for his incredibly fast speed run. Dream later confessed that he was playing on a modified version of Minecraft.
  • A trailer for Minecraft has 160 million views: “This is not a trailer for a game, this is for a generation”

    On October 2nd, 2022, Dream showed his face for the first time eight years after he started his YouTube career. After just a few hours, Dream’s Face Reveal video had 14 million views.

    Will Dream perform without a mask in the future? Probably not. While it’s not 100% impossible, Dream released a new video on June 9th, 2023, in which he announced that he is going to wear a mask again. He writes in the video description: “I deleted my face reveal and that’s why.”
