At least 19 people died and more than 150 were injured due to heavy rains in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces.
According to the news on Geo News television, 16 people, including women and children, died and 146 were injured due to heavy rains in Bannu and Lakki Marvat regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. In these areas, the roofs of many houses collapsed, and the walls collapsed at some points.
Heavy rains were also effective in Sargoda, Gujranvala, Faisalabad and Hushab regions of Punjab.
3 people died due to the collapse of the wall on a house in Çan village of Hushab.
In Gujranvala, 10 people were injured in the accidents caused by the rains.
There were power outages in these areas.
While search and rescue efforts continue in the regions where the rains are effective, hospitals have been put on high alert. (AA)
