Our skin needs regular care as it is always waiting for attention and can easily wear out if it is deprived of this attention. With a few applications that you can easily perform at home, you can make your heels look healthy and soft, and you can help restore the moisture of your cracked heels due to exposure to plenty of sea water and sun in summer.
REMOVE YOUR DEAD SKIN
The first thing to do to give your hardened heels a beautiful look is to soften your feet with warm water. You can soak your feet for a few minutes in a bowl of warm water or soften them during a bath.
Easily remove the softened dead skin from your heels by rubbing your softened heels with a pumice stone.
- After doing the same treatment on both heels, rinse your feet with clean water to get rid of dead skin residues. Clean your pumice stone and let it dry.
DON’T FORGET TO APPLY A FOOT MASK
You can prepare the foot mask using 5 teaspoons of baking soda, shower gel and a few drops of any kind of aromatic oil you want, then apply it to your heels by massaging. The longer it stays, the more effective this mask will be, then clean it with warm water and apply a moisturizer.
- Instead, you can choose to get the most suitable foot mask for your skin from stores that sell personal care products.
FEED YOUR HEELS WITH VEGETABLE OILS
If you neglect to moisturize your feet, it is possible that your heels will harden and begin to crack over time. Use vegetable oils to moisturize your dry feet and prevent cracks.
Rub castor oil or olive oil on your heels. You can get more effective results if you apply it before going to bed, as it can penetrate your skin for a longer time.
- After applying the oil, wear cotton socks on your feet, so you can prevent the oil you apply from getting on your mattress, and the oil can penetrate your feet during the night and moisturize your heels.
