Set 50 years after the events of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls®, Diablo IV begins with Lilith, the Daughter of Hate, being summoned back to the mortal world of Sanctuary. This world is teeming with terrifying creatures. Only the bravest warriors can withstand the threat of chaos. Players can customize the gameplay experience to appeal to them through skill trees to showcase their awesome spells and abilities as they fight to return the Sanctuary to its original owners.
Players can explore the vast world Diablo IV heralds, choosing from five classes—the shapeshifting Druid, the agile Bandit, the elemental Mage, the savage Barbarian, or the Necromancer powered by ritual.
